A mysterious blotch that appeared along the horizon in a photo from the surface of Mars stirred speculation about what it might be, as two hours later it was gone.

One image from the Curiosity rover as it landed on the fourth planet from the sun showed a “faint but distinctive” image on the horizon, the Los Angeles Times reported. However, a subsequent batch of images sent from the unmanned rover two hours later showed no trace of the blotch.

One theory put forth by space enthusiasts in the L.A. Times story is that Curiosity had somehow snapped a photo of part of the spacecraft that escorted the rover through the Martian atmosphere crash-landing a distance away.

But to capture that image “would be an insane coincidence,” one engineer told the newspaper.

Others say more feasible possibilities would be simply dirt on the lens, or maybe a dust devil twisting far in the distance.

But as more images start to pour into NASA, more is being learned about the rover’s pinpoint landing.

In what some are dubbing the “crime scene” photo of the landing zone taken by another satellite, Curiosity is seen on the ground along with pieces of the spacecraft that broke apart as planned on the way to the surface. The photo reveals the heat shield that protected the rover as it entered the atmosphere and the parachute that helped ease the vehicle onto Mars. Also seen are parts of the “sky crane,” the spacecraft that carried the rover to the planet, the article noted.

Could the sky crane crashing be the blotch? From another L.A. Times story:

The crime scene photo showed that the sky crane had crash-landed, as designed, about 2,000 feet away—and in the same direction that Curiosity’s camera was pointed when it snapped the first photo showing the blotch. The new satellite photo also showed that the sky crane, when it crash-landed, kicked up a violent wave of dirt that had scarred the surface of Mars.

Curiosity mission manager Michael Watkins told the Times if it were the case, “it would be incredibly cool. … A crazy, serendipitous thing.”

Images from Mars have always fueled curiosity.

Remember what folks thought was a huge face on Mars? An image from Viking 1 in 1976 that appeared to show a rock formation with eyes, a nose and a mouth? Later high-resolution imaging and side-by-side analysis proved the “face” to be a mesa, like the flat-topped natural formations found in the southwestern U.S.

As the Curiosity rover readies to begin the scientific discovery part of the mission, maybe more interesting things will be revealed.

Scientists have found the biggest black holes known to exist —each one 10 billion times the size of our sun.

A team led by an astronomer at the University of California at Berkeley discovered the two gigantic black holes in clusters of galaxies 300 million light years away. That’s relatively close on the galactic scale.

The previous black hole record-holder is as large as 6 billion suns. A black hole is formed by the collapse of a super-size star. It’s a region where nothing, not even light, can escape.

The scientists say their findings suggest differences in the way black holes grow, depending on the size of the galaxy.

What happened in Los Angeles in 1942 changed the way people would think about UFO’s. Hundreds of people saw the space ship just hovering over the city.

The military when so far as to shoot light beams up in the sky and lit up the space ship so it was more visible to everyone. If this was an UFO, why do the government and the military deny that there are UFO’s in the sky? If there is so much evidence about the Los Angeles UFO, why is there so much controversy about the sights? How could hundreds of people be wrong about what they saw?

No it was not Japanese fighter planes, it was a huge space ship as it was called then. The space was in the sky hovering the 37^th Brigade was going to stop at nothing to take it down. Every attempt to bring down the hovering craft was unsuccessful. Spent shells were the only thing falling from the sky. People could not be on the streets because falling shells could have hit them. The space ship was said to have been sitting there without being affected by the blasting. Then the space ship moved into a different area where there were more lights.

The large craft hovered over the MGM Studios. Once it settled over Culver City, someone was able to get an amazing photo of the craft. Then it moved over to Long Beach and soon disappeared. Where did the space ship go? How could it just disappear so quickly without anyone seeing it go? Could the space ship move faster than light? All these questions soon became the questions everyone needed answers to. All the people that saw the space ship agreed on one thing. It was huge and had an orange glow color.

Why is it then that any sightings since then have been explained away as an air balloon, a flash in the sky or a plane of some type? Why does the military continue to avoid the discussion about UFO’s? The picture that was taken does not show anything other than a craft of some type unknown to us. It shows a picture of something mysterious in the sky. In 1942, there were no available programs to distort or change the way a picture looks. Then we have to assume that this was indeed a UFO and the picture is authentic.

UFO sightings have been happening for many years. We have to consider that aliens and UFO’s have been around since the beginning of time. One can only wonder what else is out there is space. Is there another form of life that could be more advanced than we are? How many different life forms could there be in space? More UFO sightings will continue, but until someone else has the pictures that provide real proof that aliens and space ships exist, people will continue to be skeptical and deny that there are any other forms of life other than us.

One evening my mate and I were out driving around with a couple of friends when we stopped at the local post office to check our mailbox and pick up any mail we may have had.

At the time we had an older model brown van that we had converted into a small, mobile, living space. We started to leave when we got a phone call on our cell phone from another friend who said they would meet us in front of the post office and lead us out the long and winding roads that led to the group camping area we were all supposed to meet at for a weekend camping trip. While we waited things got really weird.

As we waited for our friend to arrive to lead us all out to the camp
site, we felt rather than heard this really odd humming sound. We looked up to see two very large, black, triangle shaped craft hovering not more than a couple  or three hundred yards right above our van!  Each of them had a bright white light at each of the corners of the craft and one was sitting just slightly higher and forward of the other craft. They were completely silent. The humming ‘sound’ was more of a sensation we felt throughout our bodies right down to our teeth, but it was at the same time very eerily silent. They just hovered above us. Where they had came from we did not know; they just seem to materialize out of thin air.  We sat and observed them, while at the same time they were, presumably, observing us for about 20 minutes. 

One of our friends started using the high powered binoculars we had to get a closer look at the craft to see if he could get a better look at any details on these craft. This must have not set well with the pilots of one of these weird craft because almost as soon as our friend raised the binoculars the craft that was sitting slightly higher than the other one changed. First the white lights did a strange convergence towards the center of the this strange flying machine and converged into one single red light and then it shot straight up into the air and disappeared with with incredible speed.
However, the other triangle craft hovered for a few minutes more and then started, gently and silently, drifting forward and away. We all watched it until it suddenly just shot forward so fast that it too disappeared as quick as a wink.

Shortly after that our other friend showed up to lead us to the camp site. My mate and I and our two friends who had witnessed these weird flying craft told the others of our group about our strange encounter around the campfire that night.  We all sat up for most of the night discussing what we had seen and speculated as to what they could be and where did they come from.  We have done a fair amount of research on the subject over the years since that warm mid-summer’s dusk, and there are still as many speculations and unanswered questions as there were that evening 6 years ago.

The “memory metal” particles discovered at the UFO incident location at Roswell in 1947 was both characterize by concepts and technical impetus for contemporary’s “Shape Memory Alloys” or “Morphing Metals” such as Nitinol. The Roswell particles were examined by Battelle Memorial Institute in the late 1940’s under a Wright-Patterson Air Force agreement. These historical facts were set up in a years-long (and going forward) exploration which has been comprehensive in the second edition of the book Witness to Roswell and which has been modified, enhanced and defended in various articles.

This series of UFO exploration keeps to provide forth additional records, witnesses and specific facts which facilitates the matter that an unfamiliar craft of unidentified origin -and composed of formerly undiscovered elements - gone down to Earth over 6 decades ago. It additionally verifies that the overriding matter was to discover what the craft was made of. The recognized “co-inventor” of Nitinol shape memory alloy at the US Naval Labs (alongside with Fred Wang) was William Buehler. In an official Oral History, Buehler lamented that after his discovery, it was the space agency NASA that separately maintained Battelle to carry out further research on Nitinol.
And this creates a comprehensive sense. The memory metal was driven by the materials of engineering from the said UFO discovered at Roswell. This indicates that the material must have usage in aerospace. And certainly it does. At present, NASA alone desires to utilize the material in its most innovative and highly sophisticated craft ever created. And perhaps more amazingly, the memory metal itself may keep the idea to “Free Energy” and interstellar propulsion utilizing Nitinol Heat Engines. Modern study verifies that Roswell’s memory metal is heading again into space, the Outer Space from which it came from. 
Dr. Anna McGowan, NASA’s Program Director for Morphing Materials, clarifies that focus must be put on the range of possible Shape Memory components such as alloys, polymers and composite constructions. Of course the particles from the said UFO at Roswell was referred to as “like both metal and plastic (polymer)” by various witnesses. McGowan then goes on to suggest that certain consideration must be placed to the intense issues of “processing and fabrication” of such materials.Sixty four years following the Roswell incident, the US authorities are still having difficulties with the issues of Nitinol and Shape Memory. Although engineers and scientists have carried out numerous research, have created several white papers and have diagrammed and micro-photographed such material for years, the exact components behind “material that remembers itself,” such as the well-known UFO technology, has yet to be completely understood. 
NASA has a long background of performing materials science and engineering studies in space. Many of those researches continue to be classified. The weightlessness and gravity-free surroundings of Outer Space may have uncovered indications to the “strange fabrication and processing” as well as information into just exactly how and exactly why material can “morph.”What material could be better for an interstellar vehicle that could possibly supply its own power source, conceal itself at will, function in all conditions and capable to recover itself when destroyed? Possibly there is “Intelligent Material” of which the UFO is created capable of being shaped, bent or drawn out, that it may be ready to transform, enabling for interstellar journey. 
Morphing is crucial to cosmic transport. The craft’s material must be eminently flexible, transforming and restructuring itself at the crystalline and molecular levels- and most likely even at the inter-dimensional stage just like what people imagine of the UFO. It may be both physical and paraphysical. Though the build are made up of components and are made up of ‘material’ - they are also ‘amorphous’ and in some way must change time and space. So the material must be able to “change up” immediately and at will. It should morph.
